A few years ago I found myself battling a disease, one that left me at home most days. My husband, who had been a photographer for a few years, encouraged me to get out and take some pictures. What started out as a way to relax, has become a career. Thousands of pictures later, I still absolutely love being behind the camera. I find joy in capturing those moments in time that show just who someone is, discovering the looks that are uniquely them.

To me, a picture should be a moment in time, that is captured forever. It's a smile, a laugh, a goofy grin. It's the look a Mother gives her son as he jumps in a puddle of mud, or the look a Dad gets as he gives his little girl away on her wedding day. It's the love struck couple who just got engaged, and the couple who holds hands at their 50th wedding anniversary party.

I continue to learn from talented photographers, and from the people I photograph.
